I liked this photo - especially the silhouetted cart, but not the colors. Pale, monochrome and dirty.

So I went to town with them. I decided to make something that would look pretty to me, even if not exactly realistic. Warm, kind of what it may look like during the sunset. And I didn't like the look of the mud, so I made it more reddish.

I think I have a problem - this photographer calls his processing 'Dark Processing,' and generally produces dark photos, but I still thought it could be darker. So darker it is. Help.

Scotland again. Green hills again. Overcast skies again. Wonder if they get any sun over there?

Well, if I had to have clouds, I thought I could at least recover some detail from them. And I fixed the color balance, and pushed the blacks some more.

What a beautiful photo. Apparently, the leftmost tree is of a different kind then the other three, but I found a photo of the same motif by another photographer that had all of them in bloom. So I took the in-bloom one and composited it here, because otherwise, I liked this photo more.

Other than that, I deepened the colors and blacks.

Another example for my case against gratuitous long exposure. It's almost impossible to find a photo of this location from this angle that isn't taken with long exposure, and doesn't have the resulting ugliness of a smeared waterfall. This is the best that I ran into, and even here we're talking about the exposure that was barely short enough to preserve some detail in the stream. I did what I could to remove the motion blur.

Other than that, I wanted the mountain to be green as it usually is and not brown, so I changed that. Also fixed the contrast.
