...aaand some more rocks for your enjoyment. A simple photo, but the lighting and texture are so nice, it works just great as a wallpaper.

I fiddled a bit with the general image quality.

Sure is impressive. But doesn't look like a spider. Something else, maybe, but not a spider. So I hopped over to Wikipedia. Apparently, it's named for Spider Woman, a key figure in Navajo lore. Anyways, the aerial point-of-view makes this photo really stand out, and the great lighting makes it exceptional as far as I'm concerned. I used Bing Wallpaper version as a starting point, because they cooked-up some really nice colors over there.

So I just deepened them a bit more.

I love that lone plant. And the view is amazing.

This one didn't really need any help, it's balanced so nicely.

106. Ah... Where Is It?

I don't really see many trees here, much less a rain forest. More like grass-covered hills. Well, whatever.

I dialed the cyans more toward the blues, because I think they were too, well, cyan.

101. Sexy Hexes, Now a Trilogy

A whole canyon of hexagonal basalt columns, like Proxy Falls and Giant's Causeway. Iceland is strange.

I reframed this so the emphasis is more on the canyon and less on the foreground. Also darkened the photo a little.

24. Sandfalls

Antelope Canyon. Otherworldly, with some great warm-cold colors going on. As far as I know, the sandfalls are not a natural feature, but something that photographers do by way of throwing some sand on the rock ledges just before taking the shot. They do look nice though, so more power to them, I guess.

I just sharpened this a bit, that's all.

20. It's Not Black, It's Brown!

This is really an otherworldly-looking canyon, and the lighting in the photo is great. I referamed it - I quite like the more abstract look without the sky that focuses more on the meandering shapes of the canyon walls.

Post-processing-wise, I upped the blacks, nothing more.
